Anke Huiskes is the founding partner of Aletta Angels, an angel investment collective investing in female-led startups. She started her career in FMCG at Procter & Gamble in the Netherlands and moved to San Francisco in 2013 where she joined Pebble Smartwatch as their Head of European Sales. While at Pebble she started as a part-time analyst at an Angel Investment Group focusing on Health Tech and this is how she got into angel investing and created a passion for (women’s) health. After Pebble, she joined Willow Pump, the world’s best-funded women’s health company to date with $155M in funding, as their first commercial employee to launch the world’s first wearable breast pump.

During the talk, Anke will tell her startup story and she will give you advice on how to be a successful (female) entrepreneur. Most recently Anke was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Intellectual Ventures, one of the VC funds backed by Bill Gates. Anke has a Cum Laude master’s degree in marketing and currently lives with her husband and two kids in Maui, Hawaii. During the talk, you have room to ask questions!
