Incubase is the incubator at the University of Twente. Founded by the Student Union, Novel-T and the University of Twente, it offers not only all working facilities that help you accelerate your business. It is also a thriving, international community of people that want to achieve something spectacular!

The mission of Incubase is to facilitate and support entrepreneurial University of Twente students with their innovative business idea. Startup support programs are offered here for free, from validation, to incubation, to acceleration.

How it started

The University of Twente has a track record of 35 years of experience as an entrepreneurial university. Over 1000 startups/spin-offs were created out of the university among those companies like Booking.com, Takeaway.com, Scisports, Xsens, Codesandbox, and many more. The Student Union is the beating heart of policy and student advocacy at the university, promoting academic competencies and the well-being of all students.

Together, they formed a strong pact to start of Incubase. Opened in 2018, partially closed due to the COVID pandemic, but now buzzing with dedicated students and above all: innovative startups making it nationally and internationally.

 

The gym for startups

We distinguish with a business model that fits our startups: the “gym for entrepreneurship.” Just like in a gym, you come to Incubase to train. You have to build your startup to grow eventually. The enterprising students pay ten euros a month for a membership. Nothing more, nothing less. With this membership, the entrepreneurs can use the co-working space, the support of Novel-T and, for example, request subsidy advice from our partners Rabobank and PNO.
